UW–Madison’s data consultancies and services fill this gap, offering a spectrum of support ranging from free data collection consultations to deep partnerships for deploying reliable, scalable data pipelines. A brief opening on the importance of data consultancies and services to advance discovery and support decision-making.
Lightning Round
Participating units give brief presentations about their core competencies services, and example success stories.
Moderated Q&A
A curated discussion on the future of data needs including AI, compliance, big data storage and access, and sustainable, resuable data analysis pipelines.
Mixer & Posters
A mixer/networking event where units set up posters describing successful interactions with partners leading to advancements in discovery and support for complex decisions. Light snacks and drinks will be available.

Bioinformatics Resource Core (BRC)
The Bioinformatics Resource Core provides comprehensive data analysis and computational support for researchers working with high-throughput biological data.
Cancer Informatics Shared Resource
The Cancer Informatics Shared Resource provides UWCCC members with bioinformatics, clinical informatics, image analysis, machine learning, and computational science support for cancer research.
Center for Research on Complex Thinking (CRCT)
CRCT develops AI and computational methods for analyzing large-scale qualitative data and producing clear visual representations for decision makers and stakeholders.
Data Science Hub
The Data Science Hub hosts data science and research software engineering communities, training and consultations for researchers.
Data Science Institute
The Data Science Institute brings expertise in machine learning, statistics, and AI with broad domain knowledge to deliver software products and pipelines that enable meaningful, data-driven solutions.
Institute for Research on Poverty (IRP)
IRP is home to the Wisconsin Administrative Data Core (WADC), an integrated data system that links administrative data across public programs to support evidence-based policy research.
Research Cyberinfrastructure
Research Cyberinfrastructure enables researchers to securely store, analyze, document, and share their work — with the compliant, integrated tools to support research from start to finish.
Social Science Computing Core (SSCC)
The Social Science Computing Core pairs specialized computing environments with expert facilitation and statistical consulting for data-driven social science.
Statistical Consulting Group
The Statistical Consulting Group assists in all aspects of data analysis, from project development to final product, in a collaborative relationship with a concerted effort to train your team.
Waisman Center Data Science Core
The Waisman Center Data Science Core provides bioinformatics and biostatistics services, computational resources, and consultations to drive discoveries in human development and neurobiology.
